December News - Happy Christmas to all from Into the Blue!

Christmas is just around the corner and it has been another exciting month for us, with some new projects, international adventures and award recognition.

Award time

On 2nd December we were excited to be invited to attend the Isle of Wight Chamber of Commerce Awards for Excellence where we were nominated for the Design and Marketing Agency of the Year. A 'Highly Commended' award in our category has been added to our trophy cabinet - excellent recognition for our work over the past year!

Our recent work

When world-renowned offshore wind turbine makers MHI Vestas got in touch with us to help them raise brand awareness and drive attendance to their recent jobs fair, we were more than happy to use our expertise to lend a hand! With a tight deadline, we got straight on to creating an all-encompassing promotional campaign involving PR, print, online, email, radio and social media. Our cross-platform approach made a huge difference in driving up visitor numbers to the jobs fair and raising awareness of the company.

We look forward to continuing our work with MHI Vestas going into next year - promoting their brand both locally and internationally.

Social media - is it really effective?

The rapid expansion of social media platforms on mobile devices, as well as faster internet connectivity and more sophisticated technology, has triggered a huge shift in the way many people get their news, and the way brands are able to advertise.

This universal shift is something we use to deliver our clients' objectives. As well as the more traditional advertising channels and PR, we encourage our clients to utilise Facebook Advertising to target potential leads within the locality. We applied this approach to our campaign for MHI Vestas and this resulted in Facebook advertising creating a 129% increase on site visits compared to those from more traditional channels.

We think this report makes for some interesting reading on the topic: uk.reuters.com/article/uk-advertising-forecast-idUKKBN13U00C

Into the Blue travels

November saw the Into the Blue team travelling to all corners of the world, with Emma returning from her adventures to Asia and Oceania, Rosie travelling to the LA Autoshow to deliver experiential event activities and James and Gail attending the Yacht Racing Forum in Malta. We had some memorable experiences and our travels offered exciting networking opportunities, as well as some winter respite!

Happy Christmas to all!

We have decided that rather than buying each other gifts this year, we will donate the funds to Save the Children as part of the national campaign 'Christmas Jumper Day'. You can support our efforts and help us fundraise by simply texting TEAMITBHELP to 70050 to donate £2 to Save the Children.

Please also consider making a donation to our fantastic charity clients this Christmas time:
