This week is National Apprenticeship Week and at Into the Blue we're proud to kick-start the professional career of young adults.
Our apprentice, Luke Joynes, joined the team in November and has already been involved in a number of our exciting projects.
Taking on the role of Account Assistant, Luke joined Into the Blue after completing his A-Levels at Christ the King College in Newport with a strong knowledge of social media management. This experience came through his own music promotions business, Atmos Music, and event managing The Blacksheep Bar in Ryde.
During his time at Into the Blue, he’s already worked for clients such as Cowes Yacht Haven and Round the Island Race, as well gaining valuable production management experience working alongside Glass House Productions to deliver a series of videos for the recent Isle of Wight Council Youth Conference.
With social media planning and graphic design at the forefront of his skill set, Luke has also been learning about copywriting, proofreading and reporting to name a few. He said: "Despite only being at Into the Blue for a few months, I've already picked up valuable marketing skills I will surely use throughout the rest of my career."
