The Ellen MacArthur Cancer Trust’s is the ‘Official Race Charity’ of the J.P. Morgan Asset Management Round the Island Race.
Through the 2015 Race the Trust raised over £30,000.
Five Trust boats entered and successfully completed the iconic 50 nautical mile race, crewed by young sailors recovering from cancer who have been part of the Ellen MacArthur Trust sailing programme.
Into the blue planned and managed the social media and PR as part of the Trust’s Race activation. This included creating and executing a social media plan for the Race, hosting journalists who sailed with the Trust, organising the Isle of Wight Radio’s Breakfast Show broadcast at the Trust office the day before the Race. Additionally, Into the blue interviewed and sent out regional press releases to a significant number of the young people who did the Round the Island Race, as part of the overall PR strategy delivered.
