Into the Blue won the tender to deliver the communication strategy and implementation for Team Origin Events, the rights holders and organisers of the first America’s Cup World Series event of the 35th America’s Cup.
The role included securing official event media partners, media content planning, media liaison, social media strategy, media accreditation management, live event media centre management and logistical co-ordinatio
The event was staged in the historic naval city of Portsmouth – the home of Sir Ben Ainslie’s Land Rover BAR, the British challenge for the America’s Cup.
Into the Blue successfully managed the media launch for the event and the official media briefing event with all national print outlets and TV outlets in attendance. Into the Blue also put together the social media strategy for the event which included targeting PPL ad spend to secure ticket sales for the event.
During the event, Into the Blue managed the media centre, hosting over 100 media outlets including international, UK national and regional outlets. All media content was activated and distributed by Into the Blue including videography and photography. Other activations during the event included live blog feed, press conferences organisation, press release creation and social media management.
