Ben Ainslie Racing (BAR) is a sailing team set up with the ultimate aim to win the America’s Cup and bring the oldest sports trophy in the world back to Britain.
Into the Blue were tasked to create a brand for Ben Ainslie Racing, arrange a media presentation to the world’s press and secure commercial partners to fund the team’s entry into the America’s Cup World Series 2012/13.
Into the Blue launched BAR on 10th January 2012 at London’s Southbank with over 40 people in attendance, including UK media – the BBC, Sky, News, The Daily Telegraph and the Guardian with the news hitting a global audience. Following the launch, sponsorship was successfully secured. Into the Blue also managed the team’s record breaking entry at the 2013 J.P. Morgan Asset Management Round the Island Race and managed the team with their entry into the 2014 Extreme Sailing Series. The team also supported BAR launch for their 35th America’s Cup Campaign in June 2014. Into the Blue continue to work closely with Land Rover BAR, helping manage key sponsors, to coordinate and staff events in the UK and around the world for a range of their partners.
