Discover Ireland is the main sponsor of the Galway stopover for the Volvo Ocean Race. The client brief was to promote Ireland and the Galway stopover to the UK sailing community as a tourism destination, thus driving footfall from this primary target audience.
We devised an impactful campaign which featured the seven crews of the Volvo Ocean Race who had travelled a gruelling 35,000 nm to get to Ireland. The campaign was entitled ‘For a welcome only Ireland can offer, how far would you go?”
