Helena Lucas MBE, Paralympic gold medallist from the London 2012 Games. Her win took her into the history books as the first British female Paralympic sailor to win gold. She competes in the 2.4mR keelboat, and was the only female in an otherwise male dominated field at the London 2012 Games.
Helena’s target is now to win a second gold medal at the Rio 2016 Games, again in the 2.4mR and will be the only British London 2012 sailing gold medallist to be campaigning for the next Olympic Games.
Into the Blue successfully assisted Helena in gaining sponsorship with world-renowned yachting company Sunsail to support her in the lead-up to Rio 2016. In 2014, Helena also became a Charity Ambassador for youth sailing charity UKSA.
