Sir Ben Ainslie is the most successful Olympic Sailor of all time, and has been managed throughout his sailing career by Into the Blue. Most recently during his time sailing with Oracle Team USA in their successful America’s Cup defence in San Francisco.
The America’s Cup has always been an aspiration of Ben’s. In January 2012 Into the Blue launched Ben Ainslie Racing (BAR), Ben’s very own racing team, who have the long term vision of bringing the cup back to Britain. Into the Blue are responsible for all marketing and communications for BAR as well as the management of Sir Ben.
Following his Gold medal win, in the London 2012 Olympic Games, Ben flew straight to America to lead his team J.P. Morgan BAR in the America’s Cup World Series. Considering this was the Team’s first World Series, they achieved third overall in the 2012-2013 edition. This success coupled with Into the Blue’s extensive media contacts and industry knowledge has secured worldwide coverage for both BAR and Ben. The media coverage includes monthly diary entries with The Telegraph. Ben also featured in Sports Pro Magazine’s Top 50 Most Marketable Athletes, being the first sailor to do so. Looking ahead, we will continue to manage all aspects of the team’s communications, marketing and proactively support BAR’s commercial development as a challenger for the 35th edition for the oldest trophy in international sport, the America’s Cup.
